ACPN Leadership Committee Information and Eligibility

The ACPN Leadership Committee is a committee of volunteer ACPN members who help plan and organize the annual ACPN Knowledge Exchange conference, develop educational opportunities, and facilitate communication, best practices, and networking amongst the ACPN Segment Community. Service as an ACPN committee member is a satisfying way to contribute to the overall direction and progress of the community, while making professional connections and developing leadership skills. This volunteer leadership also satisfies the “ACPN Service” requirement of the Automotive Content Professional (ACP) designation.

To be eligible to serve on the ACPN Committee, the following eligibility requirements must be met:
  1. Individuals must be employed by an active Auto Care Association member company. (To check the status of your company's membership, please contact
  2. Individuals must have attended the Annual Knowledge Exchange Conference a minimum of one time.
  3. Individuals must attend the Annual Knowledge Exchange Conference in the current year for which they are being nominated for.

Role of the Committee:
The ACPN Committee develops the core curriculum for the annual conference. Committee members drive the conference agenda and events and develop additional value programs for ACPN members. ACPN is more than an annual conference. The professional group enhances member value with year around communications and education. The ACPN Committee works closely with the Technology Standards Committee to ensure industry standards, best practices, and future initiatives are communicated and shared with the membership.

Terms of Service:
Individuals meeting the eligibility requirements can serve on a Committee. Committee members are selected for a three-year term of service with the option to be appointed for one additional three-year term (a total of six years with approval).

Meeting Frequency & Attendance:
The ACPN Committee will meet once a year in a face-to-face required meeting to kick off the ACPN Knowledge Exchange Conference planning year. (This is a required meeting that requires travel). Additional web-based meetings will be called at the discretion of the Association and / or the Committee throughout the planning year. 

Volunteer Travel Reimbursement:
Travel expenses (including transportation, meals, lodging, and incidentals) for individuals attending segment meetings or events will not be reimbursed by the Auto Care Association.
