Program Application

Please complete this online application by January 29th, 2021. 


  • STEP 1: Applications *must* be submitted online by January 29th, 2021. 
  • STEP 2: Video interviews will be hosted between January 25th to February 8th. Interviews will only be offered to organizations that submit complete online applications. Interviews will be scheduled by Simone Thelemaque from 
  • STEP 3: Organizational applicants will be notified of decisions no later than February 12th, 2021. 
Applicant teams must meet the following criteria:

     ● At least one team member who has a role in executive leadership, senior management, or on the Board of Directors. 
     ● Team members who are hungry to learn and connect with one another and teams in the cohort. 
     ● Team members who have a difference in levels of organizational and/or community influence.
     ● Team members who have some responsibility for managing people and/or budgets within their organization (with or without formal positions of authority)
     ● Work at organizations that are supportive of their full participation in the Program
     ● Team members who have at least three years of work experience including at least one year of work experience in nonprofit-sector or community work.

Applicant teams must have individuals who are looking for: 

  • Spaces for self reflection
  • Shifting mindsets, habits, and behaviors that are influenced by internalized oppression and white supremacy
  • Institutionalizing equitable practices within their organization
  • Learning about the intersections of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability and other identities we hold 
  • Unpacking how power and anti-blackness shows up in their organizational spaces
  • Constructing a pro-Black politic and cultivating Black leadership within their organization
Organizations that send teams to represent them in the program should be prepared to: 
  • Compensate team-members for all time in virtual program sessions
  • Have an explicit desire to promote + foster the leadership of Black staff
  • Identify how an on-going commitment to racial equity and racial justice will shift their work
