2021 Sustainable Business Recognition Program

Introduction
PRINTING United Alliance would like to recognize your company for its sustainable business practices in a way that connects to efforts underway worldwide. For the 2021 Recognition Program, PRINTING United Alliance continues to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs. 

Background
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030. The purpose of these goals is to eradicate the world’s most devastating challenges. Each goal has targets that break down how to achieve the overarching goal. Those that were most relevant to the printing industry were sorted out and included in this form. Governments, NGOs, industries, and local communities alike have committed to contributing to these goals. PRINTING United Alliance would like to continue to show how the printing industry’s dedication to sustainability aligns with the UN’s SDGs.  

For the 2021 Sustainable Business Program, we will continue to focus on the following three Sustainable Development Goals:

#3 Good Health and Well Being (Societal) 
Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

#12 Responsible Consumption and Production (Environmental)
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

#8 Decent Work and Economic Growth (Profitable)
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Three levels have been established for this award:

• Silver:  The applicant has provided discussion and context for each project associated with the identified SDG.
• Gold:  The applicant provided discussion, that includes metrics, and context for each project associated with the identified SDG.
• Platinum: The applicant provided discussion, that includes metrics, and context for each project associated with the identified SDG.  The metrics provided clearly illustrate the applicant’s achievements and reductions associated with the chosen project.

 
Please fill out the form below to explain how your company’s 2020 efforts have contributed to any or all of these three goals. It is critical that you provide metrics under each goal to demonstrate how you have monitored the progress of your program. Please indicate which target(s) you have contributed to as well with a brief description. There is also an “other” space for items that may not directly fall under a given target.
