Thank you for starting your application to the Rush Summer Research Scholars Program (RSRSP).
There are 2 parts to this application:Part 1: Fill out the questionnaire and upload the documents requested below.
- Personal Statement (500 words or less): Tell us why you are interested in the summer research program. Your statement should include past undergraduate studies, healthcare, research, service and leadership experiences that have influenced your interest in the program.
- Resume (max 2 pages)
In order to submit this part of the application you must submit a personal statement and resume. Once you start the application you are NOT able to save your responses and finish the application at a later time.Part 2: To complete the application and to be considered for the program, you must also request the following to be sent to RMC_Pipeline@rush.edu:
- Official transcripts from every institution you have attended - Transcripts must be sent by your institution
For official transcripts, reach out to your school’s registrar and request that transcripts be sent to RMC_Pipeline@rush.edu. If your institution does not send electronic copies of transcripts they can send them via postal mail to:

- Two Letters of Recommendation - All letters of recommendation must be submitted by the letter writter and sent to RMC_Pipeline@rush.edu
- One from your academic advisor and one from a leader/supervisor from your healthcare, research or service experience.
- Letters must be on an official school/organization letterhead and submitted by the recommender.
- Proof of health insurance coverage - send to RMC_Pipeline@rush.edu
- This can be a photo of your insurance card or a letter from your insurance provider verifying coverage (you must have valid coverage for the dates of the program July 6th through August 13th, 2021)
DUE DATES
PART 1 DUE BY 3/15/2021- The application, personal statement and resume
PART 2 DUE BY 4/15/2021 - Secondary documents (official transcripts from each institution you have attended, two letters of recommendation and proof of health insurance coverage)
