The application deadline for the fall 2022 semester has been extended to April 29th, with interviews in May. Applications received after this date will be reviewed for potential spring 2023 hiring, with interviews in December 2022. We accept applications at any time, however our typical hiring periods are in May for the upcoming fall semester and in December for the upcoming spring semester. If you are applying outside of these time periods, we will contact you for an interview if we have a hiring need, otherwise we will hold your application for the next semester.
  • Paid tutor training requirements include:
    • completing more than 4 hours of district-mandated self-paced online training through MIST
    • completing approximately 4 to 6 hours of self-paced online training specific to STEMLC
    • attending live training sessions conducted by the staff and faculty in STEMLC, including a mandatory training on a Friday or Saturday in August 2022 (prior to the start of the semester, day/date tbd) for most of the day (about 6 hours)
      • For the live training date, accommodation requests (for example, religious or out of the country) may be made by individuals at the time of hiring notifications.
Tutors are typically assigned to work an average of 4-8 weekly hours; some tutors may be assigned more and some may be assigned less.
