NCPA Student Leadership Council Application

The NCPA Student Leadership Council exists to represent pharmacy student members of the association. Among its purposes are to promote the profession of pharmacy, promote the role of independent community pharmacy and promote communication between NCPA Student Chapters and the NCPA Department of Student Affairs.

The Student Leadership Council is a two-year commitment. Year one you will serve as a Junior Member, and year two you will be a Senior Member.

Each NCPA Student Chapter should nominate one chapter officer as a candidate for the SLC. If more than one student per school is interested, then the student chapter should hold an election to determine a single nominee. All nominees should attend either the NCPA Congressional Pharmacy Fly-In or the NCPA Annual Convention.

Applicants are notified of their appointment status by Feb 1. Junior SLC members will begin their term Feb 1 and are expected to attend the NCPA Leadership Retreat, date TBD.

Applications for the NCPA Student Leadership Council must be received by 11:59pm EST on December 31. Please be prepared to upload the required supporting documents to this application:
-A one-page letter of intent describing your interest in the SLC, career goals, and interest in community pharmacy;
-Your recent resume or cv;
-One page letter of recommendation from a pharmacy school faculty member or dean;
-One page letter of recommendation from a pharmacy owner (preferably an NCPA member);
