The NCPA Student Leadership Council represents pharmacy student members and serves as a liaison between NCPA Student Chapters and the NCPA Department of Student Affairs. The council works to:
- Promote the pharmacy profession.
- Advocate for independent community pharmacy.
- Strengthen communication among student chapters and NCPA.
Commitment
- Two-year term
- Year 1: Junior Member
- Year 2: Senior Member
- Junior Members begin their term on February 1 and are expected to attend the NCPA Spring/Summer Leadership Retreat (date TBD).
Application Timeline
- Application deadline: December 31 at 11:59 PM EST
- Appointment notifications: By February 1
Required Application Materials
- One-page letter of intent describing:
- Interest in the SLC
- Career goals
- Interest in community pharmacy
- Current resume or CV
- One-page faculty/dean recommendation letter
- One-page pharmacy owner or pharmacist recommendation letter (preferably from an NCPA member)
- Pharmacy school transcript (official or unofficial accepted)
Eligibility
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
