Maryland's Child Care COVID-19 Build-A-Plan Tool

The Build-A-Plan Tool can help you develop a plan that follows state regulations and guidance to limit the spread of COVID-19 and make decisions that work best for your program. By completing the Tool and agreeing to implement the plan, you are eligible for one Professional Activity Unit (PAU) credit (Instructions will be provided after you complete your custom Child Care COVID-19 Plan).

Requirements and recommendations from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), the Maryland Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention* have been integrated into this tool to save you time and effort. Please note that if your local health department and/or education office requirements are more restrictive than state guidance, these take precedence.

By using Maryland's Child Care COVID-19 Build-A-Plan Tool, you agree to donate the data in your plan to be combined with statewide data to better understand how MSDE can best support programs. Your individual data will not be shared with anyone nor reviewed for health and safety or licensing compliance; we will only look at patterns and trends across programs.
