Future of Water Innovation (2020 edition)

Introduction

Purpose: Understand which innovative technologies are of interest to the water sector and determine their present and future implementation status.

Who Should Complete: Personnel from water agencies (e.g., cities, counties, utilities) and industrial organizations or their designee, that are familiar with the technologies at their facilities.

The survey encompasses technologies at wastewater, stormwater, drinking water, water reuse, and desalination facilities. During the survey you may designate a representative to complete information about a different water handled at your organization (and skip those questions).

Response Deadline: 2021

The aim of the survey is to understand technologies of interest to the water sector and determine their future implementation status. An innovative technology can be a new process, invention, method, or the like. This survey focuses on innovative technologies and is not intended to be a comprehensive technology survey nor seek detailed information about established technologies at facilities. The survey results will be used to identify common interests, networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, strategic focuses, and potential collaborations across the industry.

Aggregate (non-facility specific) results will be made available to the public on the WRF website in the form of a data visualization tool. Non-aggregated (facility specific) results will be made available to the Innovation Working Group members for purposes of peer-to-peer networking and information sharing.

If you have any questions about the survey, or are unsure if your organization has already completed the survey, please contact Erin Partlan at epartlan@waterrf.org or 571.384.2095.
