Who we are: We are the Nevada Geriatric Education Center (NGEC), a part of the Sanford Center for Aging that specializes in trainings and other educational opportunities for individuals seeking information about the health of and healthcare for elders. What we collect: Generally, we only collect basic information (name, email address) that is required to send information regarding our programming, as well as invitations to complete evaluations of our programming. Depending on the training, we may ask for other information, such as license numbers, to ensure that any certificates of attendance are accurate; as well as an expanded set of demographic information (including gender, race, Hispanic origin status, and/or age) as required by the training funders, licensure boards, and/or presenters.Why we collect: Information collected is tailored to each program, and is typically required by either the funder, a licensing board and/or the presenter. We also collect information to better understand our audience, improve future training, and provide trainings that are of interest to our attendees. All collected data, including any back-up data, is encrypted using 256-bit encryption.What we report:To Licensing Boards: We collect and send required individual data to the appropriate Board of Examiners as required by their licensing requirements, including but not limited to names and license numbers of attendees. To Presenters / Funders: We report only aggregate (i.e., group) level information to funders and/or presenters unless specific individual level information is required by a funder. All comments are de-identified, and program presenters / funders never see who made what comment.NGEC Program Officers: Typically only group level information is examined when making programming decisions, although individual level information may also be examined when deemed necessary.We never sell or otherwise distribute individual or group information to entities not associated with trainings, including email addresses, unless required to do so by law.What is Alchemer (SurveyGimzo)?: Alchemer is an online survey platform that we use to collect information for both registration and evaluation purposes. You can view Alchemer’s privacy policy by visiting the URL below and searching for the “If you Answer Surveys” subsection. Alternatively, you can click on "Survey Gizmo Privacy Policy" at the bottom of this page.https://www.alchemer.com/privacy/Although we never expect to need to open our forms to Alchemer, we may do so at our discretion in order to seek assistance in troubleshooting. Once we have received the assistance, any permissions granted to Alchemer are immediately revoked to ensure your data remains secure.All communication will come the email addresses below, and we will strive to only send emails as necessary to keep you informed of the program you have registered for.
