Request For NELA Amicus Brief Consideration

This form must be completed before your request will be considered.

Absent compelling circumstances, NELA will generally decline to appear as amicus in support of petitions for certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court, motions for en banc review by federal appeals courts, and appeals of orders granting summary judgment where the sole or major issue on appeal is whether there are disputed material facts.

Requests for NELA to draft a brief will rarely be considered where the deadline for amicus briefing is less than 40 days from the date the request is received.

Requests for amicus assistance take an average of 2-4 weeks to process. Please advise us by phone or email if there is a need for more expedited review and we will do our best to accommodate you.
