Corporate Wheel Event

District Clay Corporate Wheel Event!

Thank you for inquiring about a Corporate Wheel Event at the District Clay Center.  We look forward to creating a fun, exciting, and safe event for you and your team.

Working on the pottery wheel is fun . . . and challenging.  It requires eye-to-hand coordination, careful placement of your hands, and firm control over a rapidly spinning wheel.  Don't expect to make a perfect pot.  But you will be thrilled when you cause a cylinder to rise out of a solid lump of clay using your own two hands.

This event is designed to spur focus and concentration, expose people to a challenging and possibly frustrating situation (working on the wheel), and to confront a situation where the imperfect is the only possible result (it is very difficult to  make a perfect pot on your first try.)

This event offers multiple teambuilding opportunities including allowing participants to confront their own expectations and limitations in a safe fun-filled group environment.

It comes with a specially designed Team-Building Discussion Guide that participants can use if they wish.

Please fill out this brief questionnaire and our Studio Manager, Nicole Ponce, will get back to you shortly.  A copy of this questionnaire will be sent to you.
Basic Corporate Wheel Event Info:

Cost:
  $85 per person; 6 to 18 participants.

What it includes:  2 1/2 hours of fun on the pottery wheel.   Instruction by a DCC teacher, clay and tools and a Corporate Wheel TeamBuilding Discussion Guide.  Also a full studio tour including our gallery, wheel room and kiln areas.

When:  We offer these parties on weekday afternoons, Monday & Thursday mornings and Saturday nights.  We typically need around 4 weeks advance notice to schedule a party.

What to bring:  participants should wear comfortable clothes they do not mind getting dirty - pants are recommended because you will be sitting around a wheel.  Long hair should be tied back.  Please feel free to bring a small towel or apron if you wish.

COVID-19 entry requirements:  Anyone entering District Clay must provide proof of vaccination (either a photo or paper vaccination card).  People who do not supply this information upon entry will not be permitted inside District Clay.  Masks are optional.

What we need:  We need a 50% deposit to hold your event with any remaining amounts due at the beginning of the event.

Important:

We can refund 100% of the deposit if you give us at least 48 hours notice that you cannot make a date.  Under 48 hours notice, we can only be able to refund 50% of your deposit.  Also, let us know if the number in your party changes. Because these events require set up time, any changes have to be received 24 hours before the event starts so that you can avoid being charged for people that don't attend.

On the day of your event, please be on time. Because we schedule multiple events as well as regular classes, your start and stop time cannot be changed at the last minute.
