The Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (OIRE) strives to provide our customers with accurate and clearly presented information in a timely fashion. OIRE provides this form for handling and tracking all data project requests. Turnaround time is generally within four weeks of the request, further subject to the complexity of the data project request, unit priorities, internal workload, and available resources. Requests should be made as far in advance as possible.
Data is provided to advance the mission of Montgomery College and support operational needs. The requester seeking data for individual dissertation research projects must provide an Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval letter. An IRB approval does not guarantee an OIRE data project automatically. Data project requests for personal purposes will be reviewed and granted on a case-by-case basis.
In general, only aggregate data will be provided. The requester must inform OIRE when data will be presented in a meeting, report, presentation, conference, research project, manuscripts, or other format, to allow proper formatting. The requester must adhere to the guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) when using the data.
Prior to submitting your request, please review the information on OIRE’s website. If you are unable to locate the information you are looking for, complete the Data Project Request with as much specificity as possible to ensure our accurate understanding of your request. Please only use this form if you need institutional data about Montgomery College. A confirmation email will be sent to you once your request has been successfully submitted.
Thank you for helping us to advance the data culture of Montgomery College.
