2022 County Health Rankings: A Community Conversation

Event Details:

Thank you for your interest in this year's annual community conversation on the County Health Rankings. This year's theme for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's (RWJF) release of the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps (CHR&R) is "Growing Community Power to Improve Health Equity". Many factors impact how long and how well we live. Data reported through the CHR&R show how these factors shape community conditions, while highlighting the stark differences in health that stem from injustices and barriers to opportunity.

This year's agenda will again be jammed packed starting with an snapshot of the Shawnee County rankings followed by a Health Equity panel discussion and a interactive work session to assist with identifying strategic interventions around the priority areas identified during the 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment that will inform next steps for the upcoming update to the Community Health Improvement Plan.

Furthermore, after a two year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Shawnee County Health Department will be once again awarding their Public Health Champion Awards to an individual and community organization nominated by their peers.
