United Methodist Communications is reviewing common challenges across black churches and developing strategies to meet the needs of these churches through collaboration with fellow agencies, annual conferences and local churches. As part of this effort, we established a black church leader engagement panel in 2017. We are continuing that effort and growing the panel in 2023. The panelists participate in online surveys and focus groups throughout the year and are typically compensated for their time.
