Congratulations on beginning the process to become a Positive Discipline Trainer by completing the application to become a Positive Discipline Trainer Candidate.
 
Please complete the application and Letter of Intent.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU
 
  1. Identify yourself as a Positive Discipline Trainer Candidate (PDTC) when presenting any Positive Discipline material. 
  2. It is recommended before attending ACT that Trainer Candidates are active members of the Positive Discipline Association at the Trainer Candidate Level for a minimum of 1 year. This allows the Trainer Candidate to be actively learning through List Serve, working with a mentor, attending Think Tank and/or local Conferences, and benefiting from the Positive Discipline Community.
  3. Work with a Certified Positive Discipline Trainer (CPDT) mentor, the PDA List Serve, and a mentor group. 
  4. Submit evaluations and documentation after every Parenting Class you facilitate or after any Classroom Work you complete to the Positive Discipline Association at act@positivediscipline.org. (Required documents can be found in the ACT Checklist .)
  5. Pay annual Positive Discipline Association Trainer Candidate Level membership fee ($125 USD).  
  6. Develop your knowledge and understanding of Adlerian/Dreikurs and Positive Discipline theory and methods.  
  7. Once certified as a Positive Discipline Trainer, your certification extends for three years. To re-certify, CPDTs are required to attend our Think Tank (at their own expense) at least every third year. It is highly recommended, but not required, for all PDTCs to attend Think Tank.
  8. As a CPDT, sponsor at least one Positive Discipline workshop a year (with the help of your mentor) and actively share Positive Discipline.

  3. Mentoring throughout your training period and on-going via the e-mail List Serve, the CPDT manual, Think Tank, the workshop manuals, and personal contact with CPDTs, a personal mentor, a local mentoring group where available, or US/European virtual mentoring groups.   
  4. Once a year at "Think Tank," the PDA's annual members-only conference, you will have the opportunity to be surrounded by many enthusiastic Certified Positive Discipline Trainers and Trainer Candidates, for professional development, quality assurance, networking, and to share experiences and activities.
  5. Resources for marketing and training including access to new activities, marketing and training tools, translations of basic material, etc.
  6. Discounts on training and resource material -- plus free teleconferences available in the Resources section of the PDA website with your membership renewal.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU

  1. Identify yourself as a Positive Discipline Trainer Candidate (PDTC) when presenting any Positive Discipline material.

LO QUE SE ESPERA DE USTED
 
  1. Identifíquese como candidata/o a entrenador/a de Disciplina Positiva - (PDTC) por sus siglas en inglés - cuando presente cualquier material de Disciplina Positiva.
  2. Se recomienda que antes de asistir al entrenamiento avanzado (ACT) los/as candidatos/as a entrenadores/as hayan sido miembros activos de la Positive Discipline Association en el nivel de candidato/a a entenador/a al menos durante un año como mínimo. Esto le permite al candidato/a a entrenador/a aprender activamente a través de la lista de correo List Serve, trabajar con un mentor, asistir al Think Tank y/o Conferencias locales, y disfrutar de los beneficios de ser parte de la comunidad de Disciplina Positiva.
  3. Trabaje con un entrenador certificado de Disciplina Positiva (CPDT) como su mentor, también con la lista de correo List Serve de la PDA, y con un grupo mentor.
  4. Envíe las evaluaciones y documentación a la Positive Discipline Association tras cada taller para padres que facilite o después de completar cualquier trabajo en el aula a act@positivediscipline.org. (Los documentos requeridos los encontrará aquí.)
  5. Pague la tasa anual de 125 USD por la membresía como candidato/a a entrenador/a de la Positive Discipline Association.
  6. Amplíe su conocimiento y comprensión de la teoría y metodologías Adleriana/Dreikursiana y de Disciplina Positiva. 
  7. Una vez se haya certificado como entrenador/a de Disciplina Positiva, su certificación se extenderá por un periodo de 3 años. Para volver a certificarse, las/os entrenadores/as - CPDTs - deben de asistir a nuestro Think Tank (cubriendo sus gastos por cuenta propia) al menos cada 3 años. Es recomendable, sin embargo no es un requisito, que los/as Candidatos/as a Entenadoras/es - PDTCs - asistan al Think Tank.
  8. Como Entrenador/a (CPDT), organice al menos un taller de Disciplina Positiva al año (con la ayuda de su mentor) y comparta activamente la Disciplina Positiva.

LO QUE RECIBIRÁ DE LA PDA
 
  1. Participación en una comunidad próspera de Disciplina Positiva que enfatiza en la colaboración, la motivación y el compromiso. Encontrará una apasionada dedicación por este trabajo así como una inversión en el desarrollo personal y profesional en nuestra membresía individual y como organización.
  2. Una amplia formación para ahondar en su comprensión de los principios de Disciplina Positiva, además de aumentar sus habilidades como facilitador/a de talleres vivenciales, el currículum de Disciplina Positiva y su aplicación a las diferentes comunidades y necesidades.
  3. Mentorías a lo largo de su proceso de formación y de forma continua a través de la lista de correo List Serve, el manual del Entrenador (CPDT), el Think Tank, los manuales de los talleres de certificación, y a través del contacto personal con los/as Entrenadores (CPDTs), un mentor personal, un grupo mentor en tu zona disponible, o los distintos grupos mentores virtuales.
  4. Una vez al año, durante el Think Tank (exclusivo para miembros) y la conferencia anual de la PDA, tendrá la oportunidad de estar rodeada de muchos/as entrenadores/as certificados/as de Disciplina Positiva y de Candidatos/as a entrenador/a, lo cual que le ayudará en su desarrollo profesional, asegurará la calidad de su trabajo, a la vez que podrá ampliar su red de contactos profesionales, y compartir experiencias y actividades.
  5. Recursos de marketing y formaciones, que incluyen acceso a nuevas actividades, herramientas de marketing y formación, traducciones de materiales básicos, etc.
  6. Descuentos en formaciones y materiales - además de teleconferencias gratuitas disponibles en la sección de recursos (Resource Section) de la página web de la PDA al renovar su membresía.
